Clubs and activities

Clubs and activities

There are many sports, social and cultural activities you can enjoy as a student at Emirates Aviation University throughout the school year. You can also join a club that matches your interests or sign up for a student publication.

We encourage sporting activities to promote the students' physical wellbeing. Football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, cricket, swimming, table tennis and billiards facilities are available on campus our sports teams often participate in local and national competitions. New members are, of course, always welcome.
Students can organise social and cultural events on campus and participate in events organised by other institutions of higher education in the UAE. Our social and cultural events promote a friendly and cooperative environment among students, administrative staff and faculty. These events also grow ties between students and the local community and help students develop leadership skills.
We welcome the production of student publications as an avenue for students to express their opinions and develop organisational and leadership skills. The Student Council regularly publishes a newsletter with the support and guidance from the Student Services Office (SSO) and students can propose other publications to the Student Affairs officer.
The Engineering Society supports student development, creativity and innovation by sponsoring participation in various conferences and competitions. To learn more about our Engineering Society, contact us at  Engineering.society@eau.ac.ae

The Student Council is free to choose a faculty member to act as its advisor. The advisor will also support the council on issues and concerns raised with the academic management at university and department levels.

Student Services

Career Guidance and On-campus Employment

Our Career Services Department (CSD) enhances the employability of our students and graduates by providing information about the current job market and offering one-on-one guidance. CSD will assist in developing contacts with companies and provide information about job opportunities and internships through events and workshops like the EAU Annual Career Fair. The workshops address everything students to need to develop to successfully navigate career opportunities, from job search strategies and résumé writing to interview techniques and networking.

On-campus employment opportunities are also available where students gain hands-on experience in various departments within EAU. This helps students to develop their skills and introduces them to the working environment upon graduation.
