The Applied Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year programme based on the vocational curriculum for higher education awards. Students enrolled in this programme will gain a range of essential competencies in areas relevant to their current or intended employment, such as CAD, drafting, engineering design, engineering management, employability skills and project management. Students in the Applied Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering will learn to use their mathematical and analytical skills to deal with and solve real-life problems. They will be equipped with competencies in organizing and analysing information, interacting with computing technology and selecting engineering materials.
Accreditation
The Applied Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, UAE. Students who complete the programme have the option of obtaining a Coventry University certificate in addition to Emirates Aviation University award.
The programme is accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society, RAeS as meeting the EngC, CEng requirements in part and the IEng requirements in full.
Our programmes provide you with the essential skills and knowledge required to succeed in your chosen specialisation and the aviation industry in general.
Mechanical engineers are sought-after in all types of industries, such as construction, marine, power generation, Automotive, oil and gas, and aeromechanical engineering. The Applied Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering programme helps learners build a firm foundation for employment. Graduates may choose to pursue a higher education (Master’s and PhD degrees) in several engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Aeronautical, Petroleum Engineering and power generation.
Practical Experience
In collaboration with EK Engineering, the Emirates Group and other Industrial partners, EAU offers its active students who are enrolled in this programme, a six-month industrial internship. This is embedded into the curriculum of the programme and weighting fifteen credits in their semester 6 of their studies.
