What to Expect

Students will gain a range of essential competencies in areas relevant to their current or intended employment, such as CAD, drafting, engineering design, engineering management, employability skills and project management. Students will learn to use their mathematical and analytical skills to solve real-life problems. They will be equipped with competencies in organizing and analysing information, interacting with computing technology and selecting engineering materials.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering is a dual award programme conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University, UK.

The EAU award is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The programme is accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society, RAeS.
This programme is accredited as meeting the academic requirements for IEng registration.

This degree has been accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) under licence from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council. Accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by the Engineering Council in the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC). An accredited degree will provide you with some or all of the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills for eventual registration as an Incorporated (IEng). Some employers recruit preferentially from accredited degrees, and an accredited degree is likely to be recognised by other countries that are signatories to international accords.

Practical Experience

Not only will students learn comprehensive theory, but EAU will also provide the means to gain practical experience in well-equipped laboratories and workshops as well as hands on experience in a real workplace environment through on job training and internships.

Accreditation for Prior Learning(APL):

(APL) is an academic process that recognises and values students previous studies.

(APL) is allowed in Year 1 and Year 2, but not Year (3). I.e. you can skip modules from the first year and even the second year in case you did similar modules in another institution. But you cannot skip any module from the 3^rd year.
